04/06 - Embrace and The London Community Gospel Choir to release the new World Cup Anthem!

Rock band Embrace along with The London Community Gospel Choir have recorded England 's official football World Cup song.
The World Cup starts this June in Germany and The Football Association is hoping the song ‘World at Your Feet' will become the fans' anthem for the England team.
Embrace's Danny McNamara said the band were excited about recording the track and hoped to repeat the success of New Order's 1990 track World in Motion.
FA marketing manager Tom Harold said: "The official World Cup song has become something of an institution and it is really important that we have an original and exciting track. We're confident that Embrace's song will capture the imagination of the fans and players alike."
"With only 75 days to go until England 's first game against Paraguay everybody has been asking who will get the gig. We'd like to think we've pulled off something of a coup by bagging such a great band and keeping it secret...until now."
Founded in Huddersfield , Embrace have been releasing records since 1997 and have released five albums, including their number one debut Good Will Out.
Rev Bazil Meade from The London Community Gospel Choir said "Being asked to lend the voices of LCGC to the football World Cup song with Embrace, written to inspire the hearts and feet of the ENGLISH TEAM going out to Germany in June, speaks volumes of the journey of LCGC. My voice will be shouting for the lads, and as they hear the passion and soul of those wonderful voices, may they be inspired to victory."
The song was revealed on BBC Radio One this morning (21st April) and is set to be released on 5th June 2006.
