LCGC to sing with James Brown at the BBC Electric Proms 2006

The London Community Gospel Choir have been invited to the BBC Electric Proms to sing with The Godfather of Soul - James Brown!
The BBC Electric Proms is a new event for 2006. A truly multi-media festival, the Electric Proms will be watched by live audiences during and after the festival. The BBC are providing full coverage online , as well as coverage on-the-go with interactive content on your mobile and through the red button on your TV remote, with hands-on workshops throughout the event.
Based at the newly refurbished Roundhouse in Camden, James Brown will be capturing the stage during the BBC Electric Proms Festival. James Brown has been thrilling audiences around the world for over fifty years. He shot to fame in the late 1950s and early 1960s on the strength of his breathtaking live performances. His 1963 'Live At The Apollo' album is known to be one of the best live recordings ever.
The hardest working man in show business has toured constantly throughout this career. In recent years he's made show stealing appearances at Glastonbury and Live 8 in Edinburgh .
Inspired by his impromptu piano performances in hotel lobbies, his Electric Proms performance will feature collaborations with LCGC and will see him performing swinging soul and jazz-flavoured standards accompanied by piano.
