Don't miss the fun this September! there is lots going on....
Westfield Stratford City is opening on 13th of September and looks to be one of Europes biggest shopping centres! It’s a place where you can be. The mix of indoor and outdoor spaces, the cafes, the restaurants, the entertainment, the boulevards, the public art – it’s all designed to make the time you spend here richer than your usual shopping trip. After all, when we go shopping we’re not just buying products and services, we’re reinventing a bit, adding something new to our lives. LCGC will be helping them celebrate by singing at the opening of the John Lewis store on 13th September... come along and see us! visit Westfield here
Cool Hand Luke is the hard-hitting story of a World War II veteran turned convict and rebel, whose unquenchable spirit and refusal to be broken by the system becomes part of his fellow convicts' mythology of survival. Marc Warren plays Luke Jackson, a true original, whose outsized feats range from extreme acts of gluttony and gambling - he bets his fellow inmates he can eat 50 eggs - to harrowing escape attempts. The 24-year old leader of N-Dubz is releasing his first solo single on September 19 - and he's thrown the kitchen sink at it to make it as big as it can be with a choir and anthemic R&B sound. He said: "I'm trying to be all poetic as well like Romeo and Juliet and the whole vocabulary. I just tried to nail it word by word - that's what I was aiming for with that track. "When you're coming out as a solo artist you need to come out with a bang and that is why I've mentioned and referenced so many names. "Obviously there's been a lot in the press about me in the last two years about being crazy and mad and spontaneous and sometimes being naughty and bad. "This song is basically looking forward, 'No point in crying over yesterday, no regrets, forget about it.'" Check out the song on YouTube here

September is an exciting month for LCGC as we get ready for the launch of Bazil Meade's new book about his life story! Bazil's journey has taken him from the cotton fields of Montserrat to the 2009 FA Cup Final where LCGC performed the FA Cup hymn. He was born into poverty and a life without hope but found his future fulfilled through his calling to music. Bazil left the Caribbean and came to England at 9. A difficult relationship with his stepfather led to his leaving home at age 13 and moving in with his pastor who suggested he take up music. She prayed and laid hands on him and by the end of the evening he could play the piano. Within a fortnight he was performing in public. To this day, Bazil still can't read music and plays purely by instinct. He has worked with most of the greats - from Daman Albarn (Blur) to Beverly Knight - and the book carries some impressive endorsements.
