12/06 - LCGC on the X-Factor Saturday 2nd December with Ben!

Did you see The London Community Gospel Choir on ITV's X-Factor on Saturday night? Play the clip above to see the song again.

LCGC's Choir Director for the performance was T-Jae Cole, and the Choir consisited of twenty singers.

Ben said before his acapella version of “Somebody To Love” on tonights X Factor: “I really love this song and I love the band. I have to do something really special this week and pull it out of the bag. I just hope this performance is enough.”

Simon: “Full marks for bravery... That was very good.”

Louis: “I think it was more than good...to sing a Queen's song a cappella with an amazing Choir, you are a brave, brave man and you deserve votes.”

Sharon: “You've had good, great and bad nights but you have grown. I have to take my hat off to you. You well succeeded tonight.”

Post performance, Ben said "Firstly I want to thank the Choir because you don't want to know how quickly they learnt that!....I am having the time of my life here on this show... I hope I pulled it off and it went to plan. It had to be risky. I did my best.”

Some feedback since the programme aired on Saturday night:

"Ben Mills : Bens first song , ‘I made it through the rain' was a bit predictable. It started quietly then built to a huge crescendo ending. I liked it but it wasn't his strongest performance yet. His second song however was a different story. Ben chose to sing ‘Somebody To Love', accapella style with only a choir for backup. Not only was this brave but it was a wise choice. It was a little different and Ben put his heart and soul into the whole thing." ( taken from www.unrealitytv.co.uk - 3rd December 2006)
